WRAC Global Redirects

Overview

The Global Redirects feature in the WRAC plugin allows you to customize where customers are directed after completing a WooCommerce checkout. Instead of the default WooCommerce “Order Received” page, you can send all customers to a custom thank-you page, an external URL (e.g., a promo offer), or even conditionally redirect based on products, purchase history, or other criteria.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Accessing Global Redirect Settings

  • Navigate to WooCommerce > WRAC Redirect in your WordPress dashboard.

  • Click the Global Redirects tab.

2. Enabling Global Redirects

  • Toggle “Enable or Disable”:

    • Turn On to activate global redirects.

3. Setting Up Redirects

Option A: Redirect to an Internal Page
  • Select Redirect Page:
Choose a page from the drop down (e.g., “Thank You” or “Up-sell Offer”).
Example: Redirect to a page with customer on boarding steps.

Option B: Redirect to an External URL
  • Use External URL:
    Enter a full URL e.g., https://example.com/special-offer
Example: Send customers to an affiliate offer or survey.

4. Handling Failed Orders

  • Failed Order Redirect Page:
Select a page (e.g., “Payment Failed – Try Again”) for declined transactions.

  • Failed Order External URL:
Redirect to an external support page e.g.https://example.com/help

5. Displaying Order Details

  • Toggle “Display Order Details”:

    • On: Shows the WooCommerce order summary (e.g., items, total) below your custom page content.

    • Off: Hides order details for a cleaner experience
